Charging Your Inspiring® & Best Practices

Charging Your Ring

Your Inspiring® can take anywhere from 30-90 minutes to charge, depending on your battery level. Your ring battery level will be shown in the upper right-hand corner of the Home tab.

Initial Charging
Connect your Inspiring® to the wireless charging dock.
The ring requires two full charging cycles to optimize battery performance. A charging cycle consists of: – Charging the ring to 100% – Letting the battery drain to approximately 25% before recharging to 100%. Once these two charging cycles are completed, your ring is ready for regular use.

Charging Indicators
A slowly pulsing white light on the dock means your ring is charging.
A solid white light indicates the charging process is complete. If the battery has been drained for more than 24hours, please ensure to sync the ring with the application, after the battery is fully charged.
If you don’t see any light:
– Ensure the ring is placed correctly on the charging dock.
– Confirm the dock is connected to a power source.
– Disconnect the dock, wait a few seconds, and reconnect it.

Important Tips
1. Charging Before Sleep: To ensure uninterrupted tracking and optimal battery performance, we recommend charging your ring to at least 30% before going to bed.
2. Prevent overcharging: Do not leave your ring on the charger for more than one week. Keeping the battery at maximum capacity for extended periods can degarde its lifespan.
3. Extreme Temperatures: Avoid exposing your ring to temperatures below -20°C (-4°F) or above 60°C (140°F) for long durations.

Following these practices ensures a long lasting and reliable battery for you Inspiring®.

What to Expect from Your Inspiring® Battery

On average, a fully charged ring will last 5-7 days. This can vary depending on several factors, such as the age of your ring, how often you make use of daytime features, and if you take naps throughout your day. Keep in mind that more battery will be used whenever your ring is actively collecting data from its LED and temperature sensors—for example, while using Live Heart Rate features.

Keep in mind that batteries are complex, and many variables can contribute to battery life and longevity. All rechargeable batteries are consumables and have a limited lifespan, so their capacity and performance will gradually decline with time.

Certain factors may lead to battery damage. They are listed below.

  • Making your ring connected to the power supply for a period of time greater than one week.
  • Charging while at maximum capacity for extended periods of time can reduce battery life substantially.
  • Long exposure to extreme temperatures (hot/freezing).
  • Allowing your ring’s battery to reach 0% can affect its longevity.
  • The USB power cord is intended to be supplied by an external 5Vdc supply that complies with IEC 62368-1 standard. The power available to the equipment should not exceed 15W after 3 seconds.
